Is there a best time of year to buy / sell ?

Hi All,

Just wondering if some domaining veterans can share their thoughts and experience as to whether there is a best time of year to sell domains..

e.g.

Do sellers get desperate for Christmas cash so they can get their kids a PS3 and so can be more easily persuaded to part with a premium domain.

& also

What about a week before end of the tax year ? Is there a flurry of activity as people try and reduce their tax bill with a big purchase ?

yes usually it easier to buy a domain during a full moon,and easier to sell when there are 30 days in a month

if you have a seasonal domain i:e holiday related it doesn't look good to sell off peak because your search volume will be lower and people usually cannot see beyond that.

I do think that people do get desperate during holiday times so much easier to buy.

If you follow the stockmarket then you'll know that the market goes flat during July and August as everyone is on holiday. So, I would expect this to be a bad time to be attempting to sell a premium domain too.

I knew a few people who always used to invest in a few decent domains towards the end of the tax year, so it might be an easier sale then possibly.
