fil is on a distinguished road

are uk.com and uk.net worth it ??

Just a quick question

Has anyone bought uk.net or uk.com names and successfully sold them on again

I must admit that whilst surfing the internet these domains rarely appear in the search results. Is this as they are not bought or am i missing something here

Wellm y'know like, they are not "real domains" - they are all subdomains of uk. com or uk. net which are maintained and serviced like "real domains".

As such, they have always appeared expensive to register, and harder to work with for SEO purposes, compared to a .com or .co.uk .

They do come up for sale occasionally, and they are easier to get listed on search engines than formerly, but they are really aimed at people who want a particular name.

Can be useful if you buy one as an operating site. Not as useful if only the domain name is for sale.

I own a few generic .uk.com domains and would expect to sell them one way or another in the future, but in essence they are worth far less than the .co.uk version.
