Multiple of 3 to 4 times yearly revenue is often mentioned as a minimum. If you search this site you'll find valuation discussed many times. Another thing to look at is PPC rates on the keyphrases involved, as that can give you an idea of potential worth to the buyer. Rgds

I've occasionally heard "10 months revenue" for established sites, but I personally don't think that's enough. 4 years sounds a bit too long to me as a minimum though. That said it depends on the niche of course (if it's smething moving out of fashion etc) and the stability of the revenue streams currently and in the past. Selling an establishes site is a different ballgame to selling a name on its own. The right package (domain and established site) can no doubt transform the value of either aspect alone. |

Going by google adwords keyword tool not an awful lot of people search for 'secure information'. This can be of significance when selling your site. It may be difficult for people to monetise a site around a subject that does not appear to capture peoples attention. Of course internet privacy (if that is what the site is about) is an area that will likely become more popular in come years, so there may well be terms and angles that you can tap into, within this site or on another.

No worries. There is lots to take in, but also lots of valid approaches, so there's plenty of scope for success |
