I am new to this site. I own the domain: shoeshop.co.uk. I would like at £10K for it. What should I do next? Alec CC: shiphen2@gmail.com |

It is a nice domain, not sure you will get £10k for it though.

I'd have thought mid £xxx would be more realistic, maybe as high as £1000 to the right buyer. An obvious potential buyer worth investigating would be shoe-shop.com, particularly in light of Nominet's researching showing that "77% of UK consumers prefer to click on .uk rather than .com". Good luck. |

Definetly worth developing first, I'd probably agree with the above around 1k resale mark unless developed,

I would have put that value at: reseller: mid £xxx - low £x,xxx end user: mid £x,xxx |

It's certainly not a forced sale - no if I can't get at least £10K, then I'll just hang on to it. Anyone serious in the UK online shoe business would surely kill for a domain like that, no? The only thing that I might do with it is develop it further as an affiliate site while I wait... cheers Ship |

Yep; I would hang on if I were you, remember acorn is full of resellers and we talk mostly resale value, end user would be high x,xxx or low xx,xxx but end users don't come along as often as resellers.

Im not sure if you are aware of companies like Sedo. They are domain brokers and you can list your name for free in the hope that a buyer might come along, but the name can be parked in the meantime while you either develop the name, or search for a buyer yourself. Paul |
