Whois says its expired last year, yet i cant buy it anyway and there are no registered details on the owner

When a domain expires, it does not drop immediately - there is a period after expiry in which it can be renewed. In this case, the domain was renewed, and you will have to wait until 2018 before you get another chance.

I can't post WHOIS details here, it is against the rules.

Please consider that this is a public board - don't put the domain name up when you want to buy it, there are always people wandering past who will rush out and register anything if there's a hint of money (although most Acorn members would consider it an unethical thing to do).

If you've registered a name, it is safe to mention it - you registered it to keep it for yourself, didn't you?!
