Second theory: Google has stripped Google Suggest-prompted "searches" from their definition of exact...

Third theory: Don't let Google suck you in. Times move on. The big 'G' will not rule in the next five years. IMHO.

Hi Brass , i wonder if the data Legacy has is a snapshot of googles data from say a week ago or so ? i noticed the change a couple of days ago via googles own adsense tools , i imagine it would make sense for them to have a snapshot of google data or google may ban them due to execess data requests ! just a theroy

There are some astonishing changes from previous results with the new GKT.

I like the idea of this new set of data as I think some of the previous results just did not make sense. This new data may undershoot rather than overshoot and that is perhaps a good thing.

Its like the OV updates in the good old days - numbers and stats are useless unless:

- you know what they mean
- you can trust them

With google 'exacts' you simply cannot.

There's this post on the AdWords blog from the beginning of August, can't see any update confirming when it'll be out of Beta...

Ive mentioned this in previous threads, the old keyword tool was incorrect and the new one is much more realistic. I run several websites which appear number 1 in google for some very competitive terms. The new keyword tool is much more accurate for all my search terms. The old tool give unrealistically high results for many search terms.

I bought a keyword domain around 6 months ago when the old keyword tools says it gets 45,500 exact local searches. The new keyword tool says it gets 6,500 exact local searches. I can confirm that the new tool is much more accurate.

I would advise if you are buying a domain name purely based on the number of exacts in the keyword tool, make sure you go off the results in the new version or you may be very disappointed otherwise like I was.
