Depending on how many days expired it is, you may be able to renew it with your registrar. Otherwise you can change the tag (to another registrar who may be able to renew it in it's current state) for £10 through Nominet and then renew the domain through that registrar. If it's almost 90 days expired then you should call and ask Nominet and they'll be able to help.
