| Member | DomainLore "Hidden Gems"
I had a domain listed in the "Hidden Gems" section of DomainLore that finished earlier on today. As this was my 1st listing I was checking the site regularly for any movement. Everytime I have been on over the last 3/4 days, all auctions in this section look like they have not recieved any bids. Does anyone else have any experience with this? I'm not overly troubled by my auction going unsold as it was a bit of an experiment really. I am however, more concerned with using the site again if (for this week anyway) 100% of the auctions they have handpicked for Hidden Gems, have gone unsold without receiving a single bid! You need to make a bit more "noise" about your auction in an attempt to get that first bid. How much marketing of your auction did you do? Twitter is a good way to find domainers and they will often follow you back. Then you can Tweet about your auction to your hearts content. Rgds

In general, if the domain is good enough it will be bid on in the hidden gems section - promoting it will obviously give you a better chance though. Also, bear in mind that domainlore bidders are generally domainers, if the domain was low value to start with the £50 start price may put most off. Grant |

![]() | Take the money and run. I do wish you well in your domaining endeavours. But, lets be honest about your particular domain. I appreciate you took a fancy to it a couple of days ago and registered it on the 2nd But, if you really thought it has some commercial standing. Why not register the .COM which is available with all the other extensions for "latebid". Domainlore realistically sells around 40-50% of domains listed and the criteria for listing is way off what I understand it used to be - I do wonder if anything gets rejected these days when theres an incentive to make a few quid (And why not) As for waiting for responses from commercial enterprises - the best in this business will always allow for the bullshit factor - Just don't believe it yourself. I do wish you well - but for the benefit of other members here at Acorn- they perhaps should look at the direction they are taking you
