Sharing Your Sales Techniques

Hi

Im quite new to the domain world and am still leaning a lot, I was just wondering if you guys would be kind enough to share what techniques you use to find end users for doamins within your portfolio.

I have used the following techniques with some good results, but at the same time i am wondering if there are some other techniques that are worth considering.

1. I have searched on facebook for fan pages / groups relating to the domain i am trying to shift. I then join the group and speak with the admin /owner informing them of the sale of the domain and how i feel it would benefit them. (I normally join as many pages as possible within that niche audience to greater the chances of a sale)

2. Search on ebay for shops that relate to the domain i am trying to shift. I then ask them if they would be interested in purchasing it. (Most shops actually provide an email address on the listings, so i do all my contacting via email. If there is no email address i just move on to the next one as i dont want to get introuble by ebay for spamming!)

3.I have also searched on google for similar domains that are not as good quality, For example if i owned domainname.co.uk (i dont by the way lol) i would search on google for domains less quality such as domain-names.co.uk domain-names.org.uk and so on, Then would email the webmaster asking them if they would like to purchase my domain name.

Thanks

Lee

Hi Lee,
Yes, fresh79 is right about Whibs' great knowledge.

As a fellow newbie, I'm interested to know what has worked best for you in your sales so far ?

Best wishes,
Steve
