Help needed please...

I am in the process of buying a .com geo domain, web design followed by a place in the uk.

The domain name is webdesign_ _ _ _ __.com

It gets just under 3000 exacts a month, at a guess what is it worth please?

Google seem to have messed up geos a bit by listing local businesses theirselves, but on a personal note I don't click on just the ones that Google shows me, I would still rather look at a site which shows me a list of all the local businesses.

I wouldn't pay to much for it especially if .com instead of .co.uk assuming you wanted a UK town.

Based on being .com and having 3000 exacts I would pay no more than £150.

I am very grateful for the replies and words of wisdom.

A few people are bidding on the domain I believe, just unsure what it’s worth I sent over a low to mid xxx offer before my post here based on a sale at domain lore (I do understand it a .co.uk but I’m not worried about it being a .com at all .co.uk or .com happy with both myself even for a uk geo).

So leedswebdesign.co.uk = 390 exacts went for £150.00

Then surly webdesignleeds.co.uk = 2900 exacts is worth 4 time that?

http://domainlore.co.uk/leedswebdesign.co.uk

I’m not questioning the advice given at all... trying to learn as it a big learning curve for me and grateful for any help given and thank you for the above posts very helpful.

Depends on why you’re buying one?
e.g. Directory type G panda hit lots and still does ( non unique content etc pretty hard not to be though... )

Web design depends on target audience for clients that want to pay £xxx all in fine… For £xxxxx clients then think more bradable memorable name…

Alot boils down to how well you can make it list... stand alone name its not memorable etc

"leeds web design" sounds more grammatically correct than "web design leeds" (even if the latter has more exacts, it looks like it's missing an "in") I mean, if you're going to use it as an actual "brand" that you will also communicate orally or in writing to existing and potential clients...

Web Design Geo always seem to have more exacts than Geo Web Design - and have for years (even though I would have expected the other way around)

For your name it is a little subjective but a nice price for the buyer would be £150-£200 - and a nice sell for the seller would be £500

The exacts are nice but as Doodlebug says, the way Google displays geo results is a major disadvantage to anyone targeting these now.
