Country-code for Colombia.

My advice is avoid (unless you have a business in Colombia).

I'm not sure how easy they would be to rank locally though. Also, most people will be unaware of the .co extension.

Are you looking to resell the domain or develop it?

Just take a look who owns g.co, there is value in .co IMO, just do your homework and don't get carried away.

Well, I am of the opinion that the .co extension could start to develop and become interesting, but I only own a handful, one of which is lens.co. I think this could be quite an exciting name for when technology is developed to create displays inside contact lenses, e.g. I could see a company branding themselves as "lens.co".

I would be careful about rushing in to any extension, just watch the market and see how sales are going. I like .co because of it's simplicity and the fact that it could stand for "company", but I'm not going to buy too many, I'm just going to wait and see.

Overstock.com has re-branded it self as O.co so they obviously think the .co extension is good, I personally think the .co extension is great if you want to create a brand and develop a site but I place very little value in selling them un-developed at the moment.

It blamed the falling revenue on a decrease in promotions but admitted "our current efforts to rebrand ourselves from Overstock.com to O.co may have contributed to the decline.

then that sort of says it all, if a big company like overstock.com can't get the .co to work for them its gonna be even harder for anyone else.
