I have some questions for you. What do you think of the .in domain name market?

What are internet usage rates currently like in India?

Is English the most popular language to register .in domains in?

At the moment, .in is very hot in all over the world, especially in European countries like Germany and Swiss. I'm seeing a lot of developed German websites under .in cctld.

Companies regularly use .co.in although .in is available.

Internet market is rapidly growing in India. As per the 2007 estimates, there are more than 45 Million active internet users in India, and it is growing exponentially due to the recent growth in IT.

Although IDN names are in use, English names are very popular in India.

I wish you all the best.

Thanks for that.

Any idea why .co.in is used by companies in preference to just .in?

Are most of the good English .co.in and .in names already taken?

Are there many affiliate networks targetted to the Indian market yet?

.co.in is older than .in.

Yes, most of the generic one word .in names, NNN.in, LLL.in are already gone!

The internet usage in India is considerably increasing every year, currently there are lot of online markets targeting Indian customers.
