Even though ive backordered a few domains over the years I dont really know why this 92 & 99 days to drop exists. Could anyone explain the reasons behind these numbers but mainly which number should be used and for what reason. Most drop 99 days after renewal date and detagged drop 92 days. I know there are exceptions but dont know what that would be.

Also almost everywhere say "typically" 92 or 99 which implies this isnt always the case.
