I was just going to come on here and post that I transferred one today to a seller... oh, it was Mally! ^^^^

Dead easy this end too. Fantastic. Never again will I have to complete a form or send a confirmation letter. Long overdue, but well done Nominet.

Just in case this got missed (I nearly missed it myself), there's no transfer 'tab'. You click on the 'Your Domains' tab, then there's a link for 'Registrant Transfer'.

I'm very pleased with this new process and expect it will help the uk aftermarket quite a bit. Based on my experience (with ebayers especially), I'm sure there are tons of one time uk domain sellers who decided to avoid uk domains after going through the old transfer process once.

I can't do anything atm - none of my accounts have a 'Transfer' tab. Have reported it to Nom

That wasn't present, and was confirmed by Nominet.

It's now working however

I reside and operate outside the UK, so why was I charged VAT for this transfer process?

Therefore membership fees cannot be exempt from VAT because the charges for membership are supplied where Nominet is established.
Only states membership. Domains are not subject to VAT. I would tend to think transfers come under a "service".
