.ME Domains? Has Anyone Applied?

Just checked a few...most of, if not all, the good generics seem reserved already

I just bought one, but dont want to reveal it just yet in case my registrar is a bit slow of the mark! It cost me £30 plus vat for two years.

Just ordered 3 .ME domains. One for me personally and two others with the possibility of resale. Not sure if they're through yet so waiting on being able to check database

cost £17.99 for two years (inc VAT) per domain.

Does anyone know a who-is service that can access .me domains?

^ whois.meregistry.net (max. 50 look-ups per time).

I ordered one through GoDaddy, been told i haven't got it already, even though the whois doesn't reflect it yet. I'm not surprised, the GD purchase stage took me an age to get through!

The 3 I just ordered through godaddy said they were available.
They've since all come back as unavailable. Pity!

It's made worse by the delay updating the Whois, as you're reluctant to fork out for more, just in case you end up waiting for more refunds/credits to your account!

Anyone heard from namesco if you got them or not ?

I havent heard yay or nay on any I ordered neither has anyone else I know using them.

got half a dozen thru domain monster - expensive but good choice since reading about GD's cock up

Will be trying them out from a SEO exercise, all one word generics relating to very popular subjects.

It'll be interesting to see how the mighty G views them....

Has anybody had a look at the Me auction page these are the ones with multiple applications from Landrush some interesting ones. Anybody any thoughts ?

about 15 of the names I pre-reg with names.co.uk are one there.

How does the bidding work ? Anyone any clues ?

I think this process just speeds up the inevitable, its a little unfair, but its a good thing
