.ME Domains? Has Anyone Applied?

Darn it, the one i was after is on there, wish I'd seen this list first.

Having read the Auction FAQs, in a nutshell, those who were multiple bidders in the landrush stages (only) are set up to bid on their chosen names over a 3 day period. The winning bidder gets the name. If none of the parties take up the offer of bidding, then it's up to the .ME Registry to decide what they want to do. They have no obligation to let the domain go to any of those caught up in the open bidding phase, but reserve the right to determine the best course of action.

Has any one been looking at the .me domain auction page insure.me is over $12,500 and there are a few others climbing fast hug.me just started and gone over $500 in first hour https://auctions.domain.me/

I been watching them.

I totally disagree about the .my.

I mean how many 'novelty' domains can you make with .my ? tickle.my/balls ?

insure.my/arse

Its not quite so versatile in my opinion, so not sure .my will have any real impact.

This whole opening up the .tld so people can have .john and .bob is more of a concern, someone can theoretically start .dom or .gb or .ly or .co or some other wider reaching ones.

Just noticed this on the 123-reg website;

Please note: that there is no facility to transfer .me domain name away from 123-reg at this time.

Hmmm, surely that seriously affects the resale of such domains..?

I managed to nab a few .me domains when they first became open to everyone

Got;

anti-virus.me
transferring.me
requesting.me
jogging.me
satnav.me
designing.me

I got excited when it said hire.me was available but GoDaddy e-mailed me later to say it had already been registered.

How do you get your .me addresses on this website? I can't see a sign up area

You can't, it was for .me's with multiple buyers in the landrush period.
