OVT intrinsic value

I managed to pick up a domain with an ov of 141.

No, I have registered typos with 1000 w/ext before, they received nil traffic, therefore generated nil revenue, as they were typos (Having no keyword value) they were worthless.

Unless there isn't any value in the keyword(s) then based on overture score alone the domain isn't worth anything (Unless it gets traffic)

A score of 141 for a name WITHOUT the extension would usually mean the name is worthless. A score of 141 for a domain WITH the extension is most often a good sign that the domain has traffic. This is not 100% of course, and I have found a fair amount that end up having no traffic.

If you find an unregistered name with a decent OVT score with the extension, do a cursory check from other sources like Google etc and register the damn thing, it's only a few bucks. Always remember though, if it sounds too good to be true..then it probably is.

If you are using the OVT tool to look at purchasing names in the aftermarket, it is a good starting point, but is far from the end all answer.

Not sure this helps...

A celeb name of mine with 30 - 40k ovt (without ext) gets about 200+ type ins a month but gives a high ctr...

It is with .co.uk and is not really a typo as such. It relates to a football team (soccer for those in the US) but without the FC on the end.

you might be able to sell for example leyton orient shirts though depending on which football team it is you may find its already quite well covered.

Should be able to make a decent return on reg fee if nothing else.

I think you did well , i bought 3 names with low OV with Extension 9,11, & 5
type in's last month were 31,46 & 82 Average of 30% click rate , one of those was a football club without the FC. i made $6 from them last month.
a small amount i know but in a few months they will be paid for..

i've regged names with 300+ w/ext and they haven't even got one visit in a whole month.
