Not done asp in 6 years or more but i know the problem you have, detecting he the box is there or not. What you have to do is slam them into an array then loop the array to set a default value then if checked change the value, else you need an if for each them. If its only a few then an if exists then true else false works but for large ones you need the array method. This is tru of most languages and check boxes

hi mate thanks for your replies. basically i have a script that pulls out some records from an access database. each record is listed with a checkbox next to it. user then checks which records they want and clicks submit. wot i need is the SQL to pull out the records from the database that correspond to the checkbox ID's (which are all unique and pulled from a DB). hope that makes sense. cheers Justin |
