Just launched - link exchange site for people interested in content based links

We have just launched the beta version of a link exchange site that we have created at Link Websites (www.linkwebsites.co.uk), primarily aimed at UK sites seeking content based links.

Our goal is to create a mechanism where people can list their site details (anonymously if preferred) and then contact other members with relevant sites to discuss how links can be made between their sites.

Some simple tools are also provided to track the progress of the link building.

There is a feedback form for reporting any problems if you feel that you are being spammed with requests.

Membership is free and we have no plans for the site to generate revenue in the future. We hope to benefit like other members by being able to gain relevant content based links for our own sites.

Link Websites is a beta release and has only a handful of sites listed on it at the moment. Please join, add your sites and let me have your feedback, either via PM here or via the Contact Admin link on the website, so that we can create a useful link building resource with a UK focus.

well it isn't new - but at least its free!

lots of sites offer this type of service - even better are the ones that offer 1 way links - you simply post your article excerpt containing your keyword rich anchor text link - but you have to pay a monthly or annual subscription

I'm all for it and hope its a success

I used to be a member of various "post your article snippet and keyword link" subscription services - and I'm sure lots of members of this forum still are

how about forming a club - to share access and spread the cost?

I didn't make enough from my own sites and blogs to justify the cost (and my clients were too mean to pay for link building) - but if the cost was shared between 10 or more other site owners then it would be economical

I'm up for trialling bits and pieces, although I want to be sure it is not viewed upon by the mighty Google etc as a link farm etc. We need to be careful and the members all need to watch what they are doing individually.

You need to fill the Categories out so people don't have to contact you to get new ones that are common added. e.g. Services, Automotive, etc

Maybe make a list here to submit?

But nice site, as long as that site doesn't link out to sites then I wouldn't expect Google to frown upon it!
