half indexed?

I almost have hundred posts on my site. Lately, I decided to add some photos just to take advantage with the traffic from Google image search. Probably, I already posted more than 20 vintage photos but check them out whether they are being seen in Google and found nothing. I think my pages are indexed but photos aren't. Is it possible that my content are indexed and the file images are not?

Opinions are greatly appreciated. Thanks

Are you looking in Google analytics ?

google or any other search engine does not read image its read only given text on image in the form of ALT and TITLE with link.

I have found the search engines read the file name as well, and they interpret - and _ are spaces. So cheap-domain-name-banner.jpg with the alt tag "Main Banner To Buy Cheap Domain Names" and a suitable title tag all 3 are used by image search.

Skinners right, and you do need to have the alt tags too (title tags don't do much according to Vanessa Fox).

Google images tends to pick up the theme of the image from surrounding text too rather than the above.
