I feel like SEO is a more accurate topic for this and we have way too much shoved into General as it is ?

Not to mention this was 1st.

However I prefer google link than WMW link.

Some of my exact match, and exact match hyphenated domains have actually improved position. Maybe the dross got flushed out and that's why. In fairness, I did engage in a decent amount of link building so it's certainly possible.

The only exception is a site I haven't worked on much at all ( appearance .co.uk - moved from position 3 to

, so that pretty much falls in what we were told would happen.

If this has been rolled out then I haven't noticed any major difference to be honest. There are some improvements compared to last week, but none are ranking lower (if it hasn't been rolled out then the improvements are probably from links/content).

Have still got exact match domains on competitive terms ranking within the first few pages without any link building or effort though...

Good point. Maybe we're not seeing the full picture at the moment. If it hasn't though, it surely must be imminent. If the dial has been turned down, they don't appear to have been doing much turning.
