ranking exact match domain

Does anyone have any tips ranking an exact match domain? I've build up a solid set of backlinks which has seen the site go to PR4 but i'm still page 3 albeit for a pretty competative term. I've just changed the meta author to the keyword to see if that helps but has anyone got any other suggestions/experiences?

If you've got it to PR4 you must have a good set of backlinks by now( or high quality links) so you've got that right. Firstly, if I was you I'd try to keep that up, for example, let's say you build 20 backlinks a day - try to keep doing that, don't just stop because you've got it up to PR4.

It looks like you're trying to rank for a competitive keyword if you are on page 3, but have you been using that keyword as your anchored text?

I'd check your on site SEO as well before worrying about backlinks.

I assume it is the site in your sig? It's showing as PR4 and #21 for the term.

Are you just pulling the content from laterooms or are you re-writing the descriptions for each hotel?

Each description has been rewritten.

Yeah i'm thinking my SEO must be wrong somewhere. Maybe I have overdone it?

4 things:

- Broader range of anchor text
- Links from more domains
- Links from more sites closely related to travel, hotels & Dublin
- Better quality links (the ones you have are fine, but you need higher quality to progress further).
