Help B-Links

As a complete beginner i am lost. I realise there is a need to link ones domain and i know that the stronger the link via page rank etc, is the key to succesful linking.

But where do i start, if you had sterilisers org uk where would you look?

What I'd do:

Blog comments on blogs related to baby stuff.

Join a forum or two about babies, make some comments and throw your site in a sig

Social bookmarking, easy to do. Sites such as digg and so on.

That's a good start anyway

Do a "survey" that discovers that XX% of parents don't know how to safely sterilise stuff. Back it up with some believeable results/pretty graphs and some additional "facts" that come out of said survey. Package it all up in both a PDF format, and as some kind of blog type entry on your website, and distribute the "news" as a press release to relevant parties.

If no one bites and runs with the story... just use it as an angle buy/acquire some natural looking blog posts.

No problem mate.

About social bookmarking, it's pretty much the easiest way to get a few backlinks. You know the way people usually bookmark a site that they're interested in on their computer? Well it's like that except this time you bookmark it on a website and when you submit your site it gets uploaded on the internet = backlink.

It's the easiest way to do things since your links will always get accepted There are services to submit your site to load of different social bookmarking sites but if you want to do it manually here are some to use:

Digg
Stumbleupon
Folkd
Diigo

There's plenty more by the way its easy to do, just sign up and submit your link and you're done

It will happen to new sites quite often that you ranking will move about abit, keep adding content and trying building some links, not to many at a time tho, and it will come back

You've got some significant duplicate content issues.

Pretty much every bit of text is repeated 10 to 15 times on various other pages.

An example: http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en...30l130l0.1l1l0

Your meta description is also not particularly unique, in that it uses phrases found on hundreds of thousands of websites, and it is also too long (though this wouldn't hurt you, as such, it is generally useless).

Redirect all instances of http://www.sterilisers.org.uk/ to the non-www version, as it won't be helping having two (even though you do have a canonical tag, you don't want any juice going to the wrong place).

But the main issue is you have zero links.

Mate as a content writing business owner I used to swear by content, I have to apologies to people for that.

Whilst I spent thousands on content for my site, I got banned for poor quality content (I checked, no copyscaped stuff, no duplicates, all grammatically correct) and got my site kicked out of Google.

What is second in Google for "Quick Loans" xquickloans.co.uk with no content and 250 incoming links from Russian porn sites.............

Google can go and get fooked if it thinks I'm changing my site for them... Google is spam central, the more spam you can get to your site the better and its as simple as that. I didn't realise how bad it was until I looked into this subject. the word is that they realise this and that is why they are so desperate to get into social media, to use the data from that for their search results. Unfortunately for them facebook have all that data and even their +1 is spam central.....

Looks like it is a busy night, Fresh store builder gives me a good looking site but the one thing i never watched out for was having the same products in different categories, duuuhhhhh so the same content appears on many pages...Stupid Stupid mistake.

I have started to link in parental and baby forums but this is mundane work and frustrating when all i really want is the link and i have to find 10 items to comment on before i attempt to place one...ah well head down and keep going will get most of these issues sorted tonight.

Assuming i was in 4th position for the keyword sterilisers and i adjust everything according to the duplicate stuff and i get a few more links - is this gonna be a long uphill struggle to get things back to page one or is is just the unknown?

Really appreciate all your advice
