Just a general question really for the people on here who have experience of selling on Sedo....

Assuming you have domains you believe to be worth at least a few hundred quid is it worth paying the extra money to go for either a featured listing (39 euro) or category showcase (9 euro) and how much difference does this make to your success rate?

I've never bothered too much with Sedo to date but curious to know people's experiences....

I tried the featured listing and didn't even get any extra visits to the domain page :(

I think the lack of responses shows you it's not a worthwhile option.

Most of the traffic to Sedo is via it's customers parked pages, self driven leads (no effort by Sedo). So the likelihood that lead will deviate to another choice is low. It would have to be a far better domain at the same or lower price.

Sedo is nowhere in the organic results for "domain names" in Google.co.uk So their shop front traffic for the UK market would be flat. Paying a premium for that shop front with a paid listing just doesn't make sense.

Thanks everyone you have confirmed what my guess was anyway, that it's a big fat waste of money so I won't be trying it....cheers!
