Search for your domain name

Hello, I am new to this so if someone could help please. Why? is it when you place a domain on sedo the visit rate drops , I put a domain that i tracked my self it had a few direct tpyings a day , listed in yahoo at number2 on key words searched 2 thousand times a day , it was getting 1200 views , now its on sedo in 15hours only 2 plus the other day I was looking at a tracked website
and went to the site , then looked on the sedo tracker it said no vistors on line.

One last thing do they set the key words you give as I when check a few days later all I see on my domains on a url checker is sedo has 1 millon domains for sale , here some of you say you earn ie 30 euros a month
How can that be ? am I doing something wronge? ,
I am not impressed with sedo and have 25 domains earned 1.30 euros and these are .coms all have good search rates and include's 5 three letter domains only one of which listed or do I have to submit them myself too?

I know many of you know a lot about this so would be grateful for some advice thanks Julie

Julie,

Check what keywords Sedo has automatically assigned to your domains. You can override their keywords with your own and test the results. See if that improves things for you.

Sign into your Sedo account
click on "New Domain management" on the left hand menu
select "parking optimizer" from the drop down menu
click on the domain name you want to optimize
it will display the current keyword assigned to that domain. This determines what appears on the Sedo parking page. You can type in something else more relevant if you wish. Click on the magnifying glass to see immediately how the Sedo parking page will appear.

Save marked changes + click execute to save your changes.

Not sure what you are saying on the 3 letter domains not listed. If you type in the domain in your browser, does a Sedo page apppear?

There are 2 ways to point to Sedo. 1 is straight forward redirection the other is change your Name servers to Sedos name servers. the later is supposed to give better results but I have no proof of that.

THanks Admin, I have seen some problems with my words and changed them plus it takes time for the listings to appear they have only been there 2 weeks
and as i am learning, it takes time my number 3 listing on yahoo has gone since I parked it on sedo so shall have to wait for its relisting , it should rank just as high and bring in some cash , as for the three letter domains thanks for the messages i should have said they are not .com or .co.uk these ones are hard to sell .cc but one is starting to pick up aha.cc , I think this is a hacking programe and aha.com is a software company I just liked the name

I have just reg, a name that is quite long but has 780,000 score on overture i will be interested to see if it gets ranked its a chance

search engine spidering will know when a domain is "parked" and normally this means you take a penalty on your ranking. Unless your domain services a very select key word then your competition would have the advantage if your domain is parked?

was you domain always parked?

Personally I've never had any domains on an affilate scheme but this is soon about to change - will keep you posted on results

im about to park all my domains with espotting, affiliatewindow, amazon and jamster... Hopefully they can earn more with them.
