Looks like an ISP routing issue, can login to sedo.com, page not found when going to www . sedoparking . com, DNS is resolving www . sedoparking . com to 212.227.34.3 is this what other people are resolving the URL to ?

Tried another PC with a Vista install in case PC problem but seeing same problems.

nslookup http :// www. sedoparking.com gives me

    Non-authoritative answer:
    Name: sedoparking.com
    Address: 212.227.34.3
    Aliases: http :// www. sedoparking.com

and all seems to resolve ok for me here.

    both http :// www. sedo.com and http:// www. sedoparking.com

http :// www. sedoparking.com directs me to
    http :// www. sedo.com/services/parking.php3?tracked=&partnerid=&language=us

    and that's ok too.

I'm in the same boat. About 1 time out of every 5 or so, I get the proper parked page. However, most of the time it's the blank page on firefox and iexplorer resolves to: "The page cannot be displayed. The page you are looking for is currently unavailable" etc

Strangely though, traffic is still registering [noticeably down admittedly], so somebody somewhere is getting a result on my domains.

    Sedo Down

    Hi Guys,

We too have found that none of our Sedo pages resolve. We are with Blueyonder. Brad is telling us that the fault is with our provider, namely Blueyonder and not Sedo. If anyone out there is having the same problem and they are not with Blueyonder/NTL, could you please post a message to say who your provider is.

    Many thanks
    Brian

    Hi seanc,

Are you with BlueYonder or Telewest?

We've made a bit of progess today after quite a long telephone conversation with their support staff.

However, I would like to state again that if any of you have ANY problems accessing parking pages from Sedo, please PM me with the following information:

    -your IP Address
    -your ISP
-your browser information (browser used and the information displayed when trying to access certain pages)

Sedo is very committed to finding the root of this problem, however the fault does not lie with Sedo's servers. Therefore, when explaining the problem to British ISPs, it helps to have as much information as possible.

Thanks again for the cooperation in helping Sedo to resolve this issue.

    Kind regards,

    Brad

I assume that something will be done about estimating and making good lost revenue as there are a huge number of potentially "clicking people" who use Blueyonder / Telewest?!

Yes it does seem a big problem and may be resulting in a lot of lost traffic. Traffic is definitely down - so this may be one reason.

Also noticed that Sedo doesn't appear to have updated it's stats for a couple of hours - anyone else noticed this?

Are you lot only having problems with Sedo?

I've taken a massive hit over the past week with pages not dispalying with another parking co but to be fair, I can't logon to hundreds of sites including sedo.

Today I can't download pictures - try using rightmove without any pic's - frustrating?

It's the same story all over Lancashire, it looks like you'll just have to sit it out

I still can't see any SEDO parking pages from my home connection (Telewest).

All other sites seem fine, some kind of weird routing issue ?

Tried it from other Internet connections and seems OK.

Having to remote desktop into an external machine and setup parking pages from there.

    Have PM'd SEDO today.

ANYBODY who has a Sedo account should complain right now to Telewest / Blueyonder as this will most definitely be hitting YOU in the pocket.

[1 a] Form to use to complain about the "Sedo block" if you're a Blueyonder customer:
blueyonder > help > services > broadband cable modem technical support

[2 a] Form to use about the Sedo block if you're a non-Blueyonder customer:
blueyonder > help > services > technical support non blueyonder form

Consider mentioning "denial of access by their users to your Sedo pages," "estimated lost revenue" and, "Human Rights Act" blah blah blah and they should duly sh/t ...

[2] Strangely, Telewest Blueyonder are listed in the "cached" version, but not in the live ISPA link on Google:

telewest blueyonder ispa - Google Search

If you're a Sedo user and you fail to act, you're missing an opportunity to reduce your £ "lost"

    Hi Everyone,

We have been in touch with Blueyonder / Telewest. Since Sedo does not use Blueyonder / Telewest for our internet concerns, they are not taking our requests seriously.

I would urge any of you who are Blueyonder / Telewest customers to file complaints with them. Our efforts have seemed to fall on deaf ears because we do not pay them for internet services, even though we have made our point rather clear that their clients are being affected by this.

It seems they will take notice only when their paying customers bring this issue to their attention.

Thank you singlefile for providing links for Sedo clients to make complaints about this.

    Kind regards,

    Brad

You [Sedo] should perhaps threaten them with legal action, including a [short!] time-frame for complete resolution, together with a request for an explanation of the problem and an assurance that a similar sutuation will be avoided in the future. Consider including an approximate sum, £xxx, xxx? indicating your "losses" to date, calculated by virtue of your recorded and archived stats. from periods when Blueyonder / Telewest were playing ball and glitch-free.

This may very well end up with you losing many big customers and therefore serious revenue - domainers aren't going to sit around and leave domains their "Sedo-parked stock" unobtainable, tolerating ppc revenue "losses," from a large, "missing" section of the UK [who have effectively been denied access] for too long...

Brad, your "call to arms" is understandable and creditworthy, however, Sedo cannot simply turn "passive" beyond a certain stage and allow this joint business to be effectively restricted / discriminated against and you must surely have some OFT / Human Rights Act / commercial law [restriction of trade] avenue of your own to pursue?!

I'm certain that Telewest / Blueyonder would jump if they got a legally-savvy, "let's boogie" - style letter, sent recorded delivery, from "your people" to "their people!"

I'm going to contact BlueYonder today sometime to request they get this ridiculous block lifted.

This has major significance to anyone who makes income from PPC parking on SEDO as Telewest/NTL have a large slice of the UK broadband market and if they have blocked access to SEDO parking pages then your income will take a hit.
