I've seen quite a few .WALES and .CYMRU domains being listed on Sedo so just a reminder that if you haven't done anything with the domain, park it there or you will pay additional commission (essentially for nothing) if you leave the Nameservers pointing to your registrars parking page.

So you pay 5% more if it is not parked there.

SEDO are starting to wind me up. Sold a domain last week (early last week) did the transfer straight away, the buyer took the domain, they wanted an invoice, did an invoice.

They haven't changed the TAG to theirs, so SEDO won't pay up, I have to wait now for God knows how long until the buyer (who now has the domain in their name) to get their finger out and do their stuff before SEDO will release the £900 to me.

SEDO hoped to have the money transferred by the end of last week, now they hope to have it done by the end of this week.

It's pretty miserable when you've done everything the buyer asks, and you can't get paid because the buyer won't do their bit.

Maybe we should be able to charge them interest?

Why does the TAG have to change? Surely in some instances the buyer uses the same registrant, so how do Sedo account for that?

No clue, that's the baloney they're giving me for not giving me the £900

Set the buyer a deadline. If the registrant info has changed, you're entitled to detag the name when your deadline expires.

Still got no money from SEDO - the buyer has the domain in their name so Nominet can't help me, but because the TAG hasn't been changed SEDO won't release the funds.

So I guess that if they never use it and never change the TAG SEDO will just keep my cash forever?

Not sure I'd want to get involved, but if all other options are exhausted, and you still have access to the domain via the registrar you are using, why not transfer the tag to someone with a self-managed tag and have them change the registrant details back to you?

Thanks for your input guys - I got my cash today even though the tag still hasn't been changed.

Big thumbs up for Sedo (eventually!). I've posted the domain and price in the sold thread.
