Sedo selling

on sedo ive notcied some domain names show in the list which dont have bids, how can i get mine to show in that list which dont have a bid?

i persumed the auction time left only starts once somebody puts a bid in so how do people manage to get domains to show on the time ending soonest page with no current bids?

Another thing i want to talk about, a domain recently got sold on sedo for $250 (something like that), and now a day later it says it had like 8,700 hits, i own the .net address of that .com but i think some people on there just keep visisiting there own site to get numbers up, is this a good technique to do? i persumed sedo penalise people who just view there own domains all the time.

thanks

Hi Sharkadder,

A domain can be listed on the auction system in 2 ways:

*The domain receives a bid. The seller can take the domain directly to auction or negotiate to an agreeable price, then take the domain to auction.

*The seller contacts a broker (broker@sedo.co.uk) and ask that his/her domain be considered for the auction. Doing this does not guarantee that the domain will be included in the auction.

In regards to inflating traffic, it is never a good idea to visit your own domain's landing page in an effort to inflate the number of views. Considering some people buy domains based on the number of monthly views, inflating that number would be a form of fraud, which Sedo tends not to tolerate. My advice is not to do this for your own domains and should you suspect that this is going on with another domain, please let me know.

Kind regards,

Brad

I've got an email somewhere which stated that was no longer possible, when did that become possible again?
