"Do not forget to allow for Sedo transaction fees and Nominet transfer fees during the negotiation stage. We asked for the buyer to pay Sedo’s fees (10% of sale price) and the Nominet fees on top of the sale price, which they agreed to." Sedo fees include nominet fee though don't they? |

LeeOwen, Actually, our fees are not inclusive of the Nominet fees. Those are up to the buyer and/or seller to cover. Ash |

That part must be in the small print then, I'll have another look, it doesn't state that on the prices page. Sedo's commission is all-inclusive; for a single reasonable charge we handle the selling, domain transfer, and secure escrow process. Just looked. And I thought the £100 minimum included the fee and no one said otherwise in all the debate. Amazing... no wonder people moan. You need to put a little red star next to '10% of the sales price', 'Domain Sales Contracts' and 'all inclusive'. Rather than just 'active marketing'. Also can you add a comment to the drop down box on the offer page for sellers which states "buyer pays transfer fees of **.**." That way we don't have to bother your staff with them checking for that comment. Boy am I glad I didn't sell a domain for £120 or £125, I'd be out of pocket by a ten to fifteen quid. You should also raise minimum bids from buyers for .co.uk to £200.00, that would cut all the rubbish out then, well most of it, at least it would be known the first £150 is lost money and the bidder doesn't waste anybody's time and your bandwidth. If I need to email these comments to an ideas department, please let me know. Cheers Lee |

LeeOwen, Thanks for the feedback. I've actually spoken to some people, and we will include a notice on the frontpage clearly stating that .co.uk transfers are not inclusive of Nominet fees. This hopefully should be up soon. I hope this forestalls any more confusion on that issue, and sorry this wasn't addressed before. Ash |

That's alright, it's just I may have been inclined to take the £125 earlier this week for some reason or another and ended up losing money and not known about it until after. £19 might be deemed ok for a domain about to expire whereas the £35.25 invoice afterwards wouldn't be. And if you do include a 'buyer pays fees' drop down box in the near future, it might be better if it was seperate and/or a tick box, that way at the start buyer and sellers knows where they stand and your colleagues don't get bothered over the silly things that can be automated. Minimum bids may take a little more thought on sedo's behalf though, as it can look good that the system shows there's been previous interest even if it was 3 consecutive bids in one auction attempt of a fiver each time. Thanks for that. Cheers Lee |
