Thanks Shaun Further to this the shopping.org.uk name does seem to forward to the parked shop.org.uk . As per your policy Domain owner may not re-direct traffic to their parked domain name. This prohibition includes, but is not limited to, traffic redirected from other domain names It does beg the question what does it take to get banned from Sedo permanently as this "Roland Seiber" chap does seem to have broken most of Sedo's rules ? |

Hi Rob, Thank you for bringing this to our attention. I've had to liaise with the German parking team about this, and it is now in their hands. They are contacting him today about this. Regards, Shaun shaun.wilkinson@sedo.com |

| Founding Member | Still following up a few bits and pieces but as its a 'contract' in Germany (or depending on the transaction it could even be an agreement governed by USA law!) it would mean local action (there is differing opinion on if its a contract at all but that is a whole different area). German trading standards were lacking in some vorsprung durch technik, SEDO's terms are very much after a set period of time they can wash their hands of it and explicitly state they will not take steps enforce the terms of the agreement between two parties etc etc. Obviously a company such as SEDO needs to limit their risk and define the actual scope of their obligations, however from a practical point of view to actually getting the job done it does not provide any back up to their users. SEDO's staff have been helpful when trying to resolve this, however with the 'seller' being as obstinate as he is it is a tricky process. As above, the various policies and systems in place do not make things easy and as associated posts on this thread show it seems SEDO needs more joined up thinking and perhaps better standards - as they are able to choose who their customers are All in all I think there are two lessons to be learned for me: 1 - Based on this experiance I believe "Roland Seiber" from Stuttgart is not to be trusted in completing an agreement in a timely manner. 2 - Sedo's agreements are only worth the paper they are written on, which for an entirely digital agreement is high praise indeed. There is a few things still up in the air so cant say alot more about those, but will be decision time soon enough on what will happen and if so, what route |

Hi Guys, I have had another look at the transfer history for shopping.org.uk, and I can say with certainty that we did not publish this one as a completed sale - the ones that go on to our site as completed transactions only go on there once the transfer is through, and of course this one did not go through. I would be interested to know where that site got their information from. Regards, Shaun shaun.wilkinson@sedo.com |

I certainly have never released this one as 'sold' Edit: As a followup are new sales conducted under English and Welsh law due to the uk office, or still german law? Last edited by rob; 09-10-2008 at 11:28:25 AM. | |

Hi Rob, Sorry for taking a while to get back to you on this, I wanted to check with our Legal department first. Although they are still under German law at the moment, the issue of amending this to reflect where the parties are located is currently under discussion. I will keep you abreast of any updates. Regards, Shaun shaun.wilkinson@sedo.com |
