Well they didnt reply to me, so not only imo was it a fake bid, their lack of communication on the subject is crazy.

Hi Everyone,

I can now confirm that this domain has not been sold. Please excuse my silence on the subject before - we generally don't like to talk about domains being 'sold' until the domain has been transferred and the seller has his money, as unfortunately transactions can still be cancelled after an auction has finished or a deal has been reached, as many of you have experienced.

Just one question, if the auction is cancelled, will the seller get charged on fees or get any penalties?

Hello Takwa,

Whether we take any action against the seller particularly depends on whether he or she was at fault or not, but we can and do take action against domain sellers if they do not co-operate in a transfer (for example by not completing the forms in the case of a co.uk).
