Angry Help with accepting an offer on Sedo....

Hi all,

I have received an offer for a Domain that I have parked with Sedo. I want to accept the offer, however, I am struggling to see how I do this! I have located the "View Offers" page on Sedo and I have two choices :

Option A: Make Offer. (Used to submit a counter offer to the potential purchaser)

Option B: Cancel Negotiations. (No explanation needed!)

Where's the option to accept the offer? Am I missing something?

The same thing happened to me a few weeks ago when I received a great offer for one of my better domains but was unable to accept it!

Any help would be much appreciated!
Thanks,
Ade.

You should have received an e-mail advising that someone has made an offer. Try clicking on that link in the e-mail and logging in to Sedo. I say to do this because that should definitely take you to the right screen to accept the offer. If memory serves, Accept Offer is usually the first option, so at the moment I'm not sure you are looking in the right place.

Another thing you could do is log in to your Sedo Account, and go to My Sedo (top right menu item) and then the Offers Received menu option. That should also take you to the right screen to accept the offer.

What I am saying is that if you are looking in the right place, you should definitely have an Accept Offer option there.

Thanks Accelerator, but that's exactly what I did! First I followed the link in the email I received from Sedo, and then I tried going to "Offers Received" from the "My Sedo" toolbar on Sedo. I end up on the same page within both options, but I still can't see an option to accept the offer! The first option is "Make Offer" and the second is "Cancel Negotiations"!

Confused of Worcester.

Something doesn't sound right, I would contact Sedo customer support. From memory (which may be wrong!!), these are the usual options:

- Accept Offer - Accept what you've been offered and close the deal

- Make Counter Offer - You reply with a higher price as the offer was not good enough

- Send to Auction - Their offer is accepted as the reserve price in the auction, so you have definitely sold it at the reserve price (to them) but other bidders can come in and make you a better offer

- Cancel Negotiations

Those are the kind of options you should have access to. I can't remember the exact format of the screen, but some of the options are written out in a fairly wordy way, but I think they should be there nevertheless.

Hi Joanna,

Thanks for your response. And thanks for sorting this for me! I have learnt a lesson here, mainly, to check for offers before they expire....!

Thanks again!

Ade.
