Well, I'm thinking of using the name "microsoft" as a trademark for a laxative, with the slogan "our microsoft really works, first time, every time".

No, I got no reply to my email.

However I still standby it being a half assed implementation of my idea (timing is a little ummm), they did reply on parking trademark names tho which was basically 'not our problem, its the right holders problem to tell us', thats what I believe them to have said only they used that ancient long forgotten language, no not aramaic, sedoesque, so its hard to be sure what was really said :P

edit: I didnt have any affected domains, I was asking it it was a half assed attempt, so maybe it was ignored.

If you have been affected by this and feel that your windows domain does not infringe Microsoft then please contact me with the domain in question and I will get the domain reviewed and re-instated for parking/selling upon the outcome.

Please email me on joanna.birch@sedo.com with the domains in question.

Please note that this will be an ongoing process due to the large number of domains listed in our marketplace and we appreciate your continued cooperation. We have also taken the liberty to proactively remove similar domain names that exist in the marketplace and parking program.

It is important to note that Sedo takes no position on whether your domain does or does not violate the intellectual property rights of Microsoft, but we were inclined to remove it to protect potential buyers from purchasing domains subject to a substantial threat of legal action. Trademark law is very complicated and fact specific. For these reasons it is impossible for Sedo to determine which domains do, and which do not, infringe upon the trademarks of a third party. However, when a trademark owner has submitted a complaint to Sedo communicating their desire to pursue the domain through legal action, Sedo is left to determine whether the complaint is merely frivolous and solely intended to intimidate the domain owner, or whether the complaint would have a substantial chance of success whether in a court of law or before the dispute resolution panel respective of the domain's extension.

Pursuant to Sedo's Rights Protection Policy and Procedure, Sedo has received complaints from MSN related to specific domain names and such domains were removed in accordance with our stated policies.

Windowsquote has been unblocked and as mentioned previously if anyone feels their domain has been blocked unfairly you can let me know and I will unblock if necessary.
