well, a lot of us won't touch sedo anymore
for multiple reasons. their crap parking, well stopped using that years ago, one of the worst and most corrupt payouts imo

add to that the lousy support and delayed response times
still shutting at weekends even though international and a pureplay internet service! has always been beyond a joke

well, for those that still stick with them, sedo have a nice surprise for you in this worst recession since the great depression
all their rates are going up

from 10% to 15% on sales
and up to 20% on mls

put this way i have my own sales sites and have links on all pages back to my sales sites with parked, many are redirected to various sites or developed
i did keep a huge amount still on sedo becuase of the extra venue option
although all my sales are through myself or sales sites of mine or forums
people type in the domain first or check whois, theyre not stupid
can't remember last time i sold a domain on sedo
must be 18 months ago, so pointless.
people obviously dont search on sedo for them, they type in the browser bar the domain or find on search engines or my sales sites
and since they killed the site further by 'redesigning' and making it a pain in the arse to find any domains, has made even worse. the invisibility of the auctions also
so out of principle i'm deleteing all the domains i have listed on sedo, which must be 1000's
if we all did the same they stand to lose a huge amount of domains listed

let's take these suckers down

I agree with alot of what your saying, even when people type in the domain I'm not sure they easily see the

"Buy this domain
The domain xxxxxxxx may be for sale by its owner!

and if people are looking for the actual domain they are not going to click on link ads.

And then when you sell a name and the buyer reneges on the deal sedo simply walk away.

actually think last 2 offers were the standard 60$ offer on 2 i had dropped lol

when i saw it was $60 was so relieved lol
so you won't have that sinking feeling 'if' you ever get an offer on one you dropped or sold
think how much time we spend moaning about them, reading about them or loading up domains.

i'm deleting all my domains right now. i've never had so much fun having a dump

Commission is still 10% for fixed price parked domains.

Minimum commission for lower value deals has been reduced from 100$/Euros to 50$/Euros which will benefit smaller deals.

The increase to 15% is due to the fact we are improving our marketplace and also opening up sales channels to improve sales for our customers through MLS.

From our research we have found that end users greatly prefer fixed price domains as they want to purchase domains for business purposes instantly and in a quick time frame without negotiating.

We have seen sales increase by 140% in some customers accounts as a result of fixed pricing. It is an excellent solution to high volume sales. MLS will also improve the visibility and reach of your portfolio to boost your sales.

We have not had a price increase for 10 years. We are in line with competitors commission fees and in order to grow and improve our services we need to increase the fee.

The top domains status is a joke, there are quite a few domains listed which certainly shouldn't be.

I requested a domain get the 'top domain' status and it was rejected, despite having previously received multiple offers for up to mid five figures (through Sedo!). I also cannot add a fixed price over £10,000 without ordering an appraisal. I don't want an appraisal. If you want to encourage fixed price sales, surely this should be removed at discretion.

Posting this here as I am yet to receive a response when I have emailed two or three times within the past year.

Until Sedo fix VAT it's impossible to believe they're serious about sales to/within the UK market. The fact that this has come up again and again proves their lack of interest!
