no one (unless they have lost their mind) would host a UK targetted site on a server in america! It just takes to long to send and recieve pages.

i use fasthosts to host my sites �50 + VAT per month for a reseller account, host unlimited domains, UK based datacentre. enough said

meirhosting.net offer both uk and usa based reseller hosting at good prices.
Excellent fast response if any problems.
I had 3 reseller accounts with them, now have 4, as had a stupid problem(no php mail ,disappeared as a result of new "spam" system and so no forms for over 3 days) with a different host which went through 8 different "support" staff without resolving.
Contacted David at meirhosting and he moved 4 sites including databases in less than a day, not an easy job as different panel systems.
Cannot speak too highly of what i consider one of the most important things in any business, after sales support or in this before sales as well.

Many do however, at the cheaper end of the market, people don't really seem to care where the servers or network are located. Indeed if they sign up at 1&1, I doubt many realise their website will be "somewhere in the world" (probably Germany).

A few weeks ago I tracerouted to a Pipex/Webfusion VPS, and I'm pretty sure that was in Germany too. Maybe someone with a Webfusion VPS can confirm?

UK based reseller account that give you cpanel/whm , free account transfer as well. Most hosts do that .
