Forum needed...

I have a domain I'd like to turn into a forum. Can anyone provide me with a service to turn my domain into a forum?

The first 2 bits of software are about $150 - the second 2 are free.

You only need one software installation and each of the above have pros and cons so try to compare them.

If you are looking for an IPB genuine standard licence I have one licence sitting around doing nothing. It has since expired though it only costs £16.50 to renew.

I paid £98.98 on 02/09/08 for the licence direct from IPB. You can have it for £30 if you want. If interested feel free to contact me email(at)jgilson(dot)com.

I've not heard of any plugins that can provide forum features for WP.
But I have a version of WP running with SMF which is free, and they are integrated pretty well - take a look at Morecambe. Click on forums at the top.

Kudos - I might be interested in this. Do you know how easy it is to trade licences? If I have a couple of ipbs can this just get added to my account?

woopwoop,

IPS' policy in 2005 enabled a transfer of one licence from one account to another. However this is now against their policy.

At present, you may sell your entire account and the new owner can update the account details. I've just contacted Mark at IPS, regarding transfers so hopefully the new policy is still in place.
