I started Islam Forum UK • Index page last year but but loads of spam bots so set to pre-approve posts etc. Just had a quick look and there are now over 9000!

What's the best / cheapest way to resolve this spam bot problem?

I don't have too much time to keep monitoring and checking.

simple: dump phpbb and use vbulletin

Who offers the best / cheapest package for vbulletin?

Is it easy to export posts and data over etc?

Ideally I'm looking for someone to do this all for me.

vBulletin direct is the only way really to get vb. Some times you can pick up second hand licences but with vb4 I havent seen many for much less than direct.

The provided impex scripts are good and will do the donkey work. Then set up recaptch too.

But if you really are stuck drop me a PM for a quote

You will still get some no matter what though. Its just keeping on top of it and starting off with the right settings so they cant do any real harm if the do get on.

I've got a couple of VB licenses doing nothing, I'm not prepared to pay them any more to upgrade to vb4, that is just a scandal.

You are welcome to use 1 for free, it's vb3. PM me if you want to use one.
