setting up email on a mac

I would like to set up email that would look like it was (is?) being sent from a domain / website I own.

Can anyone help point me in the right direction?

I would be using my mac at home to send receive emails.

Sorry for request but i'm a real thicko when it comes to things like this.

Cheers,

Fish

Hi

You will need to buy some kind of email hosting to accompany the domain. Some hosting companies offer unlimited email accounts, such as m6.net. I know 123-reg offer a small fee per month for email hosting, which I guess you can configure for 'Mail' on the mac, and access as webmail.

Haven't forgotten the invoice!

I've used these people for years. You can use your own domains for email (MX records and you can host the actual website elsewhere) and it's only $40 per year for the enhanced options. Unbeatable in my opinion.

jordanb27 is on a distinguished road

I am also new to the Mac and am wanting some more information on this. I am wanting to get the iPad when it comes out, has anyone had a chance to try one of these out? If so, how did you like it?
