| Junior Member | Dumb question I think I'm wondering which is really better for getting traffic domains... 1) Bid on an auction for an expired one...bids can end up nasty high... 2) buy from someone willing to sell one which he has...they will ask for XX or xxx monthly revenue...also can go nasty high...no gurantees of traffic going down later on. Maybe the pros here have some experience on this? |

| Member | you mean rent the name on a monthly basis?? sounds very risky especially if you generate a brand from that domain name, or increase the traffic significantly - the domain could be pulled from you at any time. |

| Junior Member | No, not rent a domain... BUY a domain with existing traffic.... |

| Member | I think what he wants to know whether it is better to try to buy an expired domain from auction, or buy whilst it is still active from the current owner - with the problems of both being that the prices can end up high. |
