For a very good reason...

One is like "London, England". The other is "London, English". One makes sense as a fully descriptive geo placename, the other's junk.

I know what you're saying but they are still both junk IMO. No-one is going to type in tokyojapan.com any more than tokyojapanese.com
I hope you are not the buyer of corfugreece and I have offended you. That was not my intention, just stating an opinion on a lousy domain being sold for a good price. I've sold worse in the past |

For SEO purposes, tokyojapan.com would be brilliant. "tokyo japan" gets 49,500 exact matches on Google's keyword tool when you look at worldwide English language searches, and whatever you put on there will be optimised for "Tokyo" and for "Japan".
It's not so good when you're talking about smaller towns and villages, but for major cities/destinations, the combo of placename+country is actually very good IF you plan to develop.

Won't make millions though, but have mnay of them and you are laughing. But as you say tokyojapan could be a good earner, bit more work but earnings will be huge on that imo.

I have an excel sheet with all the towns, villages etc, in the UK, and on checking the whois there are loads still available, probably profitable, but I don't fancy the initial outlay and holding them until they are wanted. PM me if interested. The data was freely available I just added the .co.uk ext in excel. I only checked a small number as I'm limited to 1000 checks per day. But the few thousand I checked, a few might be worth regging.
I decided to chase christian names instead of towns and villages as I don't have dac access for the sheer number of towns |
