amazing sales - well done james
did you reg them a long time ago or was that a quick resale?

I bought them both around 5 or 6 years ago... I just never got around to developing them as I had too many other things on the go. I do think I'll miss them a bit, particularly onlinecasino.co.uk. But in the end I'd rather have cash than trophies.

James, you don't want to tell whether it was through hard negotiations to achieve such fantastic prices? Or buyers were so desperate to get these domains?

I believe these are lucky sales and even at the half of the amount offered, would make sense to sell them. Particularly 'onlineca$ino', I believe it is quite weak name.

Vizzy, I sent out a lot of feelers over the past month with a genuine assumption (not arrogance I hope, but rather happy naivety) that I'd reach these sorts of prices.

Although the escrow was effectively handled by Sedo, and the buyer initially pitched over Sedo, I do know the buyers well, and have sat down with them a few times over the years.

I don't think the prices are at odds with the quality of the domains at all. In fact, in the past I've been offered a similar deal, but couldn't sell due to the circumstances at the time.

@Sound: Yes, I have developed some domains into sites/businesses. I wouldn't really consider myself a "domainer", although others would maybe. I dunno.

@DB: I don't rate myself enough to impart advice. Whilst I believe in luck, the main thing I've noticed over the years is that a genuinely positive attitude seems to give people an edge.

Thanks for shedding some light ;)
Now I understand that you've used Sedo's service for escrow only and not blind-bidding via their sales platform (that is the reason I find it unrealistically hard to achieve such prices via their auctions).
