Hello, Being a bit of an antiques anorak I decided to try a website logging my attempts at making a profit by buying antiques on eBay and then selling them on again on eBay - the idea came really after watching the BBCs new program "antiques road trip". Anyway, I'm hoping it'll get enough interest from people that they keep coming back to see how I do, and maybe since it's an entertainment type site it'll get some interest? I think once I've done the 5 rounds of buying and selling and then the 1 big item at the end I'll maybe just keep it going as a log of how much I make (or lose) in a year, etc. I'm planning on selling antiques related books on the site, I've managed to agree a drop shipping arrangement with a big publisher of antiques books that will make me 35% per sale, plus that will tie in nicely with another antiques site I have that gets 10,000 visitors per month now. I might also do some kind of course type thing on the site. I'm struggling to think of other ideas for revenue, other than maybe running it as a competition where people can join in and do their own antiques hunt challenge, but that would require completely overhauling the site and may be difficult to manage, but could be interesting? Any ideas on how to monetise it or promote it would be gratefully accepted Thanks, Dash.
