Got a BC Rich... What's the best stack?
As Nigel says "one that goes to 11"
I had a BC Rich Virgin Was a cross between a mockingbird and a bitch
Bet you got a Warlock?
I used to work for the west ends main BC Rich dealer.. terrible guitars lol..
We had the first BC Rich Assassin guitar in the UK.. we put it in the window and someone shot the window. So there was like a little bullet hole in the glass just in front of the guitar.
My fav Marshalls are the old 60's plexi glass ones with a single 4x12 cab. Sold mine years back as you cant play those at home cos the volume is either full on or nothing.
Was told the earlier rigs were still the best but apparently hard to come by...
Your right on both counts... Wanna raise the roof and scare the **** out of everything - especially myself... LOL
Yep the early ones are very hard to come by now, I used to sell the old 60's plexi glass heads around 88'-92' and they where hard to come by back then.. and damn expensive even then going 2-3 times as much as a brand new JCM800.
Ive had 50w and 100w 60's, 70's and early 80's ones but never owned the latter ones. Really depends what sort of sounds you want, as all the early ones only give you a limited amount of sounds.. for me that Thin Lizzy or Van Halen "brown sound".. but you cant play them quiet.. even on 1 its ******* loud.
Where as the latter JCM series ones with the high gain are much more versatile, you can play those quiet. And if you want a more heavier sound then those are the ones to go for.
I dont use any amps anymore. I've been using the Sans Amp simulators for the last 5 or so years and now got the rackmount programmable one.. There fantastic, give you any amp sound and plug it straight into the desk with a set of cans.
But any 100w Marshall stack and an old Ibanez tube screamer will take the roof off most houses
Now your talkin'... Want it loud and nasty... Crisp at the top end... Some amps I've noticed go to **** when you crank 'em up...
A guy was showing me a rig once with different amp sounds at the flick of a switch but had that problem...
Willl have to look into the other stuff too... Nice to have some extra gizmos to mess with...
Are we going to form an AD rock band?
...DAC around the clock.....
Guess you'd run the forum... Lee the marketing.... OB the groupies ...
Predator on vocals... Who else would be in the line up...
i'm not bad with a triangle
Is that a groupie thing?
I used a 6100LM Anniversary Head for 7 year's very versatile, 3 channel's all controlable with a 3 switch footswitch, Clean, crunch & distortion, very good amp but dont let it get damp as it has some circuit boards inside, as it is midi compatable.
Alot swear buy the JCM900 meant to be the best head they made, paired with a Marshall 1960 4x12 Wedge with Celestion greenback speakers, you will be the talk of the town! :-D
