My company spends too much money on google sponsored links so if any of you guys can create quality leads for any of the following I am interested:-

A landlord or tenant seeking a letting agency (in any town in the UK)

A landlord seeking buy to let mortgages

    Regards
    Lee

Also take a look at A4uforum.co.uk and the network forums and networks linked.

I couldn't do that but I should think you'd be paying more than £800 a month and I'd advise on results only i.e. traffic and sales, you can be the top of your best keyword or what you think is best but if it doesn't deliver then you're wasting your money.

Going down the affiliate route might be good for you, and I might be going mad, you may have seen two financial ads on telly recently... that wasn't a merchant, that was an affiliate - pretty sure it was anyway. And there's a few other affiliates that are bigger than quite a few merchants.

Your best bet would be to post on A4U and get some initial guidance from some of the pros, the networks may contact you as well, also the person behind A4U now runs his own advisory company and organises all the get togethers, of which I've not attended yet, they might be able to give you a pointer as well - nothing is free when you get started, I've also been told Jess who posts on A4U is very knowledgeable.

The good thing about affiliate marketing is the spend versus revenue/results but it's not always an happy story, take a few months figuring out how to get good affiliates, good proceadures and working on a good price to compete in your market, as with affiliates you're not only competing with your competitors and merchants but also the pay out, the EPC and how attractive you are as a partner for valuable ad inventory on affiliate's websites.

I'll keep a look out for you though in the future if you do decide on the AM route. I used to be a landlord, treacherous business for an 18 year old and buggered up my life a bit. haha

    Cheers

    thanks

thanks lee, i must say googles ppc does work very well for us but I its not really well targetted on the affiliate side. We are re-vamping our www.lml.co.uk site and creating feeder sites but need to push up on ranking.

I know we are number one on the search term landlord mortgages but is it possible to be number one on buy to let and buy to let mortgages without compromising landlord mortgages as a search term. Or is it better to use another site....use my domain name buytoletmortgages.co.uk ?

My landlords have done well....in a rising market....newbies should be careful

    Free advice:

    Lee,

Having had a 2min look at your site, the very first thing to say is get rid of the framed pages! They’re so very bad for search engines, especially Google and how it page ranks a page.

    Regards,

    Simon.

yeah a cutomer of mine has a similar setup... I've just added 250 keyword rich words to his noframes tags on his homepage and he's now getting Google page 1 results for his search terms... "which is nice".. ;)

    this option

lml.co.uk gets top listing for landlord mortgages and i don't want to lose the listing as its still descriptive of my business and the company name. How about setting up a link from lml.co.uk to a content rich buy to let mortgage site ie. make www.buytoletmortgages.co.uk as you say? I have noticed that landlordinsurance.co.uk got a page rank of about three from an incoming link from the lml.co.uk (don't do the link anymore)

    Catch 22 i suppose....
