Bought it a while ago but with no income-generating mechanism in mind. The thing is, it probably only has value to the dodgier secondary ticket or fraudulent end of the market?

I don't want to promote stuff that isn't 100% legit, and I'm sure that they'll be cracking down hard on use of the 2012 olympic trademark anyway.

What do you reckon? Best to just leave it unused?

I'm sure others are better versed in this than me but I think anything with the word "olympics" in it is a non-starter

Hmmm, well unless my FreshStoreBuilder sites start doing really well, I suspect that the IOC can afford better lawyers than I can.

Thanks - I think I'll just let it drop.

Waste of time even if you were a hit and run merchant why would someone with them want to sell them cheap ?

Sorry to hijack thread but consider it a free bump. I can't believe this government, Charge the public for an olympics most don't want then the muppets give the ticket franchise to an american company!!

yeah 'olympics' is a tm and they ferociously guard it, and you can't buy and sell tickets privately
that is if you want them

It's also against the forum rules to even post Olympic names!

Perhaps admin should put an auto-filter in place on vB to star **** out any 'olympic' type words automatically. :)

OP - ditch it, as fast as your legs can carry you! :)

Ha ha, the High Jump indeed. I didn't realise I'm not even supposed to mention the Big O in here! Hopefully I'll be spared a lifetime ban.

Apologies to Sebastian Coe if one of his millions of trademark lawyers is reading this and are already preparing a special rendition flight to Guantanamo. You should go after these guys first http://www.olympics-2012-tickets.com/ ;)
