This story would be / is funny for the utter stupidity of all involved except it's the sort of thing that people think about others owning domains.

    The title should be

"City of Moreland forgets to renew domain name and is now carping on about it"

“Essentially it’s a classic case of cyber squatting,” said Jason England of Premier Quest ISP. “Folks typically from the same type of geography that the majority of the world’s spam and viruses come from, China, Eastern Europe and Russia and third world countries.

Nice shoehorning in the racist views as well, pesky foreigner cybersquatters.

I bet 'Jason England' kicks himself every night being named after a different country.

    Should read...

"basically, we didn't pay our rent so we got kicked out of our shop, now someone else has rented it. They did keep on sending us these reminders to pay, several of them in fact, but we chose to ignore them! We feel like twats, but what can you do?!"

It expired. That's a bit of a lazy definition of "stolen" isn't it :)?
