    Value ?

Yes I know correct spelling is Dalmatian.. but how many people type dalmation
quite a few id imaging because of the flow from i to n

and how many actually know the correct spelling is with an a ?

    Hello

Sorry to hijack the post, but I own Dalmatians.co.uk , why not own the 'real deal' and make me an offer?

why don't you make an offer for the typo ;)
I reg'd this purely for the typo traffic which should be quite substantial
not everyone uses or even pays attention to auto suggestion
but to be honest I love the dog but any site I got up on the name would be more for fun rather that trying to be "professional & a business"

so the a or o isn't a big issue for me though

Just for the sake of curiosity how much are you looking for ?

Kari, we all register bad domains when we first start out

You will probably look back at these domains and laugh

    It's ok to be wrong

    Here is my honest appraisal:

Dalmations.co.uk - No value. You won't be able to find someone to buy this misspelling, it's just not important enough.

Dalmatians.co.uk - £60 to £100 if you can find a dog breeder that is interested. They won't pay more than that, because the domain name won't fundamentally change their income potential, i.e. they can do just as well without it. The probability of you being able to sell is low, because it does not help business models much.

As ever, happy to be proven wrong, but that's what I think.

    Thanks accelerator :)

Am more than happy with the typo for any traffic as it will be a simple info site anyway so of no real importance

Which will be next to zero.

Compare it to the gahoo (was it that one???) that you posted. The Gahoo will get typo traffic as some people will still be typing in yahoo.co.uk and getting it wrong. Yahoo is a big brand.

The type in typos for dalmatian / dalmation will be next to none.As has already been said, dalmatians.co.uk is available, so isn't an established site, so no one will be going there, so no one will be typing in the domain into the browser, so no one will be mis-spelling it.....

To get mis spelled traffic, you need a big brand first, to mis spell from.

Not a great pure online business? ( there hard to post ) Breed whose numbers have fallen drastically? The incorrect spelling ? That markets going to be minuscule I’d say yourself only ...

I do take on board everyone's comments and please don't feel like I have the
"i'm right and you're all wrong" mentality, just because I sometimes try and justify my purchase, that certainly isn't the case.

There are a lot of guys on here who I admire for their collection & also respect.

    That being said, regarding Gahoo.co.uk
I will post stats after 30 days.
I will say that so far though it has made £3.76 .. not a huge amount but only had a search box up the other day

will have a play trying to get more clickthroughs from other ads etc etc or whatever else I do with it but its certainly not going to be a huge amount of my time spent on it

Kari, I'd be happy to stick an Amazon plugin site on it for you if you want, there should be enough Dalmatian products to make a site for Dalmatian fans :)

    E.g. Dalmatian search...

    http://www.pagerank10.co.uk/amazon/?search=Dalmatians

I'll make the site black and white with spot haha.

It's worth a multiple of any revenue it generates.
