Looks like it got dumped, perhaps by accident instead of being moved?

Admin will sort for you. :)

That happens a lot round here.

It's happened to my threads several times without explanation, and I'm quite well-behaved :)

I know we're not talking about the elephant in the room right now, but it's this kind of thing that encourages people to go to Other Domain Forums ;)

It happens when people post in the wrong forums or post the same domains in multiple forums. Either way it's time consuming but keeps the forum in some kind of order.

Damned if I do, damned if I don't

If you had to spend all day moving and deleting threads and seeing people post every thread they do in the "general board", because they can't be bothered to follow the forum rules or look where it should really go, you'd understand why we don't get time or feel inclined to keep sending messages to explain things.

I am generalising here, not talking about any particular user.

You can all help by giving some thought to where you create your threads.

    Thanks

Yeah agreed. Unlikely to go anywhere though, especially if threads here stop mysteriously disappearing.

Perhaps admin could insist that moderators send a one line explanation when they delete our stuff :)

With great power comes great responsibility eh!

or maybe an automated email containing the forum rules.

Why should admin or mods have to spend their own time sifting through and deleting posts/threads that don't meet the forum rules which are clearly stated?
Whilst also then being expected to send a manual email containing reasons as to why a post was deleted...?

If people/members cannot be bothered to spend time reading the rules, why should admin/mods be bothered to explain their actions?

    Just a thought.

    regards,
    Chris

Or perhaps you could just be less handy with your delete button ;)

It's rather irritating having to guess what we did to bring the wrath of the moderators!

Maybe it's a good idea to have a competing forum after all.
