It's interesting the .uk only went for £60?

It's happened the other way round on DL too. I think in this case, had the .uk auction ended after the .co.uk it might have fetched more.

Nice sale. Was planning on bidding but didn't see it going that high.

I believe the .uk was due to end after the .co.uk, but because of the bidding rules, overtook the .co.uk. I suspect on this occasion it isn't representative.

Ah ok, fair enough. I wasn't following the auction so hadn't spotted the .co.uk auction overlapped the .uk due to extended bidding.

A bit unlucky for the .uk owner. It that auction had finished a couple of hours later maybe it would have mixed things up a bit.

Would have been wise as you say to have it finish a few hours later; as last minute bidding on the .co.uk was always likely. Hindsight of course!

I don't think it would have mattered when the .uk auction finished, people would see that 4ndy won the .co.uk or was near the top of the bidding for the .co.uk, and then see he was the highest bidder for the .uk, most people would not bother bidding on the .uk if seeing that.

But you know what people are like... the odd goblin or ghoul would be sure to emerge out of nowhere in a limp effort to deprive him of the set :-D. At bare minimum it would've almost certainly have gone for a decent amount more than £60.

Think it goes to show .uk domainers aren't "Cybersquatters"

This is what I figured, I had no plans for the .uk, so was happy to get something for it :) and never expected it to reach anywhere near the level of the .co.uk!
