ok just an update on this.

i put horney.co.uk up for sale for £300 and domaingiant (liz) made me an offer for £150 for it on the 30 March 2012, i accepted and she said to send bacs. after a week i emailed and pmed but she ignores me(still does). So a friend gave me her bosses email ( business search local ltd) Stephen then told me she had been ill and he will deal with it so if i send him the invoice and bacs he would pay it, that was on the 5th April 2012. Then he went cold on me so emailed him on the 11th April for which he told me he paid it on the 5th April???? so i waited till the 13th April just incase the banks decided to go ona slow route, hold behold nothing in my bank. So i goto domaingiant.co.uk and speak to someone called mark on there chat who said he would deal with it and get back to me. Again nothing.

Now i know its only £150 but this sort of thing is happening more and more now and it has happened to me 4 times over the past 2 months from members who are so called trusted domainers. If people have no intensions of paying for a domain they make a lower offer for they should be brought out so others know what to expect.

maybe domain giant will pay? who know but if you are reading this elizabeth, stephen or mark you have my phone number and i have invoiced you twice so why not do the descent thing and stick to you word.

Not good but, don't forget we had the 4 day Bank holiday weekend.

I recently transfered some money from Pay pal to my bank account (The same thursday before the B/H weekend that you mention)

Paid paypal £5 for a fast transfer - it usually arrives the same day if I request it early enough or by the latest within 24 hours - But took a week due to Easter break.

Let us all know when/if it's sorted

Yeah but i dont think it takes 6 working days for a bank transfer?. I have dealt with alot of members on here who have paid the same day and the odd occassion 3 business working days who have kept in contact all the time.

    Just an update....

not heard a thing from them. Even though domaingiant has been logging on here havent bothered to reply.

Strange someone will ruin there rep on here all for the sake of £150 :)

    onwards and upwards...

Have the rules changed or is it you have to kick up a fuss to be protected?

Edit: To clarify , there have been threads 'naming and shaming' on here which end up being pulled. This one has not. I think its great if they stay up , but why has this one stayed up but others have not?

I agree; Acorn works largely on trust and user reputation. The community has a right to know about (persistent) non-paying members and similar issues. Then, people may make their own decisions whether to trade with such individuals.

My experiences with them have been good, so would be interesting to know what's gone wrong.
